Ever wonder why we can't tickle ourselves? Well, apparently, science have proven that when we think about tickling ourselves, the thought itself would make "the cerebellum predicts the sensation and this prediction is used to cancel the response of other brain areas to the tickle.". You can read it HERE.
But dispair not, for there are other input in life that may just get the tickling job done for us. Here are some of them:
1. Khir Toyo's Datukship suspended, not surrendered.
I don't know what this fuss about datukship is all about. It's not useful when we plunge 6feet down under, and I don't mean Australia. Someone must advice Toyo to just get a cucu (grandchild), at least that Datuk-ship is undisputable and unrevokable.
2. PM calls for cheaper broadband across Asean. I think this is ticklish after Najib said this, PM calls for more rules on Internet. I guess what he really meant was "To call for a cheaper LIMITED FREEDOM broadband across Asean.
3. Brain Drain in Malaysia. Hahahahahaha!!! This is more hilarious than it is ticklish !!
This brain drain syndrome extends more than just those who are smart enough not to return to Malaysia Bolehland, or migrate...well, to them it may be Malaysia Boleh Blah Land lah, no? And the patriotic and nationalistic (well, depends on how you see it, some may call these species, sentiMENTAL fools for staying)...brain left in Malaysia are also experiencing brain drainage. Our brain were lifted to a higher level only to have them insulted later on by our politicians. If anything can drain anyone's brains, it has to be reading the comical things some of our politicians do just to keep in power. The parliament have become the comedy court and just like our court rooms....comedy court.....
4. Oh, here's a new tickle. Umi Hafilda reignites family feud. Reminded me of the Family Hilbilies...no, maybe Adam's family..creepy...whore for publicity.. Haha! She's suing here and suing there. She's suing Anwar, her own brother Azmin, Anwar's wife. Maybe she should change her name to Sue WhoreFilledHer...Oh, and turned out, she's suing Karpal Singh too...haha!! Sue Karpal, seriously? She may need more than a lawyer for that...maybe she may need KY Jelly for lubrication more than she does the lawyer...because Karpal Singh knows his stuff like Tiger Woods knows his golf....I said golf...not balls...
5. Tweeeeeet tweeeeet. Have you heard that our PM will be answering question via Twitter soon? But I suspect all questions will go through Rosie first and I think she will answer questions from females and Rosie Lips gets to answer questions from males only. Well, can't blame Rosie can we? Tweets can come from anywhere, even Mongolia come to think of it and pisang should not be allowed to breed twice. Corrupted politicians on the other hand, should not be allowed to breed at all...hahahahha! See...it's ticklish all these news...
Okay then, folks, have a grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat weekend ahead. Don't forget...if you are down and troubled don't call me, or the Ghost Busters, or your psychiatrist..just pick up the Malaysian Newspapers, and before you know it, you will be ROFLOL !!!

Homos, Homo Phobics, Homophobia Phobics....battle amongst neurotics...
I have to say that I miss the good old days when being gay simply means being happy (and cock and pussy still refers to the animals). I'm also pretty sure that the Malay College boys, past present and the future, will miss the good ol' days when they were called the MCKK boys, and not MCGayGays...
I have nothing against the Gays or the Lesbians on personal note. Some of the most interesting people I've met, and have become my friends are gays. My grudge is that, why can't the looser, bum, ugly looking men be gay instead of the good looking, intelligent and charismatic guys that I would like to take as a life partner? Damn natural selection !!
And that Muslim gay guy who went and confess that he is Gay in You Tube, in a nation that is working so hard to establish and Islamic state, well, he is indeed courageous, albeit I cannot decide the working out of the term "courageous", whether it be referred to "the courage of coming out of the closet to end hypocrisy" or "the courage to self strangle himself, as someone had suggested what had happened to Teoh Beng Hock (may his soul rest in peace)".
In "Islamic" countries, avowing that one is gay with a smug expression is an act of, not as dramatic but is as good as saaaaay, running into the Masjid Negara on a Friday Congregation, interrupting the ever so loud prayers and sermons, grabbing the mic and screaming at the top of one's lungs, "the only thing left to do this mic justice is to blow iiiiiiiiiiiiiit !!!". I saaaay, jemaah is singing "I did it my way", you don't go and sing at the top of your lungs, at their congregation "I did it the other way" lah...in case you haven't noticed, the homo phobics outnumbers the homos....
Funny how, even if all religion and even within one religion, are unable to see eye to eye, they can almost come to stand together in the stance of homosexuality. Ironically, it is illicit sex that is a kind of a unifying force amongst religions, finally, they agree on something (well, that and the discouragement on using the human brains). I said almost all because I'm not sure on Ayah Pin's take on homosexuality.
Why? Well, depends on which religion you profess I guess. The religion that believe in reincarnation and karma may say that homosexuality interrupts with the reincarnation program. I mean, I would be upset if my deeds in this life earns me a status of a human, in the next, but unfortunately, due to the short supply of human avatar as a result of non propagating forth of the human species because half the men had turned gay, I ended up a porcupine instead.
Although... the straight Muslim men should benefit from this gay situation, as there will be women in excess for them to make polygamy a good excuse...oops , I mean, to add another good excuse for polygamy. The specialty of creating opportunities from misfortune that ended up another problem seem to be all that Muslims can muster in this era. Like two hippopotamus sleeping together and fighting over a small blanket, we are unable cover all areas without exposing the other. Can't relive the "Golden Era" can we?
I have been asked many times to blog about homosexuals. There are some of my patients and friends who have gays, lesbians, bisexuals as family/relatives. They tend to seek consolation, and need to be told something that makes them feel less uncomfortable about having someone they love, being gay. I'm sure my dear readers have someone whom you love, a gay as a relative or even kin. Would it not be unjust to shun them just because of their sexual orientation, reject the goodness in them otherwise, just because it makes us uncomfortable to have them around?
And that is what all this is about. It's about handling the emotional discomfort;- OUR emotional discomfort. It's more about how to handle our uncomfortable feelings more than it is about the gays per se. This is because, as a Muslim, we are being told that being gay is being in transgression in the eyes of god and we are also made to believe, that having gay in our community and not do something to correct the situation would mean the wrath of god befallen unto the community.
As much as I'd like to say that this is all a lie, as a Muslim who hold on to Quran, I can't. There are some truth in this. Other than Al Gore Ibnu Bogus's "Inconvenient Truth" which turned out to be the (or his) "Convenient Lie", one cannot expect the truth to be comfortable all the time. Homosexuality is an uncomfortable and a sensitive topic more so for those who have the people they love, who are homosexuals. I am feeling very uncomfortable and in internal conflict, even as I'm writing this down.
It's a sensitive issue indeed and I would like to emphasize that my empathy reaches out to the gays/lesbians because they are of those who face the biggest challenge from within themselves, the society and a test from God. I say this, again, with deepest empathy, for I too have a person of kin, whom I love very much, a gay.
There are mixed results from the scientific /medical point of view on homosexuality. It was once categorized as a psychiatric disorder, and later on was scrapped off the list. Obviously homosexuality had created a new psychiatric syndrome amongst psychiatrists. Simply put; determining whether gays are mad had made doctors themselves mad, and not in an angry sense of it.
But there are few renowned psychiatrists such as Dr Charles Socarides. , who had been treating homosexuals back into heterosexuality. He was one of a number of psychiatrists that maintained, until his death, that homosexuality is a type of neurosis .
There was also Dr Wilhelm Stekel who treated homosexuality as neurosis and have had a fair amount of successes. You can read it HERE. (there is also a down loadable pdf form).
However, British Medical Journal recently published a study the treatment of homosexuality in Britain since the 1950s and had come to a conclusion that "The definition of same sex attraction as an illness and the development of treatments to eradicate such attraction have had a negative long term impact on individuals". (you don't say..). This study is like asking a schizophrenic whether he is happy with the idea of getting treatment in the midst of treatment. How can he be happy when the privilege of stabbing someone to death and getting away with the "unsound mind" plead, gets taken away from him. I for one would be terribly upset, as I have a list of people I'd like to stab to death !!
Whatever said and done, there is THE POSSIBILITY of "treating" homosexuality, just as there is possibility of treating any other psychiatric disorder, in which it is not being exhausted. The question arises depending on how society perceive homosexuality, whether it be accepted as a psychiatric disorder, or whether it is accepted as a person's sexual prerogative. In societies where religion seem of utmost importance, it is simply perceived as "a sin" and worst off, in some countries, "a punishable sin".
As for Islam, instead of spending time being creative in inventing ways of torturing the homosexuals, why is it that it's the "infidels" who are able to offer the science of helping these homosexuals and not the so called righteous Muslims? Is it because we love to take shortcuts and "work smart" in solving a problem by removing the problem altogether? Anyone with psychiatric problems, just remove the whole head (some "Islamic" countries kill homos). Actually base on this concept, this may backfire on the authorities, in a sense that anyone who don't like to use their brains should have their erm.... "holed head" removed. End of problem.
As for the nation where religion and not homosexuality is seen as the disease, then everyone gets to do whatever they like with their own holes because it's their holes and if there is no god, there is no bigger plan.
In a nation where religion plays a big role in their daily lives, the question at hand is, how do we make
1. the gays see that homosexuality is a treatable psychiatric disorder
2. the people who have this idea that it's okay to discriminate/punish the homosexuals who are also suffering from a slightly different kind of disorder of the same psychiatric in nature, see that even this have possibility of treatment. (if all else fails, try loosening the head attire to relieve the impingement of the medial meningeal arteries before the cerebrum they vascularize become gangrenous)
Orang giler mana rasa dia giler, orang giler kuasa mana ngaku dia giler kuasa. (crazy people don't know they're crazy and power crazy people will never admit they are power crazy). I guess this be the battle amongst neurotics ?
I agree to homosexuals suffering from neurosis and I don't mean this in a bad manner. God is fair and it will contradict His repo for being fair had God create homosexuals so that He can then punish them later. It simply does not make any sense.
In medical point of view ;
Trust me, I've been around this job long enough to notice that there are undiagnosed uncategorized psychiatric disorders amongst "successful people" that will make anyone settle for being homosexuals. I for one definitely prefer to be amongst gays. I grew up with one. The only possible explanation for this is that homosexuality is something the humans have developed along the way towards further evolution. Humans are the product of conditioning after all.
Homosexuality does not come from God. Even if so, then I'm sure it is treatable/avoidable/changable. Even if one has the genes for say, diabetics for example. It doesn't mean he will suffer from diabetes if he takes the proper measure of prudent diet and exercise. That is his test. This is where society needs to step in, to offer not ass-instant, but assistance, should the homosexuals AND the people who like to torture them choose to be treated. After all, lighten up; if it is the test from God, shouldn't homosexuals be given the prerogative to pass or flunk it, and let God be the judge? I think homosexuality is just not a test for the homosexuals but also for all and I fear everyone (who believe in religion) have flunked this bit of test. Homosexuals, for not attempting to make that change, and the people who are "normal" who did not help them make that change. I said "help" not "scalp"....
Why is it so difficult for people with religion to see that life is about choices and it's consequences? After all, when Satan refused to prostrate to Adam, God not only did not zap Satan to ashes in an instant, but even granted Satan the wish to find solace in hell in the form of as many human company he can gather from human volunteers (15:26-38) . Actually, I have my own suspicion that Satan heard God wrongly and thought that God had asked him to give his prostate to Adam, instead of prostrate to Adam. Either that, Satan must have suspected that Adam was always curious about holes and that human have the tendency to go either way, and therefore was apprehensive to put himself in a bowing position........but of course that is but a lame digress.
One may ask, "Why the need for god to test us" ? Well, go ask God, coz as much as we think we're smart, there are things we simply just don't know. ("Why Mawi is a hit" or "Why Rosy Lips fell for Rosie" and "Why Mawi and Rosie made that hit" for instance). Then again, one may ask, "Why not" ? Even Cars invented need to be test driven right, in hope for the bigger picture? Bad news is, you have to die first before seeing god to ask him that question. If you end up in heaven that is.... If you end up in hell, well, I think one would be pretty occupied with having your ass roasted to even remember to ask him this question. Would you want to take that risk?
But yes, according to the Quran, God tests :
[ 5:94]
And the good news is, He tests within our capabilities;
[7:42]
From the "Islamic" point of view, the reason why society have this need to drive homosexuals out of their homes, if not torture and punish them is because of the fear from the depiction of the destruction of the society of Lot in the Quran. Some are worried that should we allow gay lifestyle to establish, it may effect society not just as a hole, but also as a whole, in the sense that we all will get the wrath of God, for not doing something to forbid this transgression.
What most have failed to see however, is that the people of Lot did not punish nor did they chase the homosexuals out of the city. On the contrary, it was Lot who got chased out of the city for his repeated attempts to change these people via urging them to turn leafs.
7: 80-84
In surah Ash-Sh`ara': 160-173 , we read:
'The people of Lot rejected the messengers. Their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not fear God? I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. so fear God and obey me. No reward do I ask of you for it. My reward is only from the Lord the of worlds. Of all the creatures of the world will you approach males, and leave those whom God has created for you as mates? Nay. You are people transgressing all limits.' They said: 'If you desist not O Lot, you will surely be cast out!'. He said: 'I do detest your doings. O my Lord! Deliver me and my family from such things as they do.' So we delivered him and his family, all except an old woman who lingered behind. The rest we destroyed utterly. We rained down on them a shower; and evil was the shower on those who were admonished.'
I suppose, God did not take it lightly that human species do not take His Evolution plan seriously by retarding the propagating forth as a human nation, an act of prevention of failed experiments perhaps?. He has a track record of destroying what He sees as unworthy human species by nation bulks, [6:6, 7:4-5, 7: 64, 7:72, 7:78, 7:84, 7:91 and I suspect many many more), not just because they are homosexuals, but for many other reasons, just like we throw out our failed science project into the garbage. I'm talking about corrupted societies who take pleasure in doing everything that is against humanity, and beyond repair. I mean, I throw away accidental science projects from my refrigerator all the time...But but but...God is compassionate!! Well, doctors are compassionate too, and yet we see the need to kill bacterias, viruses, fungus, all out of compassion for the safety of the human being we are treating. That's our bigger picture.
What most are not aware however, is that God will never bring down wrath upon a society that is constantly trying to work towards betterment.
But Allah was not going to send them a penalty whilst thou wast amongst them; nor was He going to send it whilst they could ask for pardon.
And betterment obviously does not constitute killing, torturing and practicing injustice;
[16:90]
I cannot imagine which genius suggested killing homosexuals, or even punishing for that matter, as what is happening in some Islamic countries as we are speaking. Probably the same genius who overlooked if not distort the verses in the Quran that states killing is only permitted for self defense against oppression, after failing to come to terms over the table. A knee jerk reaction of typical homo phobics..these people needs psychiatric treatment too. Don't be surprise if preliminary psychiatric evaluation indicates the diagnosis of sadism.
Sometimes I wonder why God even bothered creating humans. Even the angels were and still probably are baffled with the choice of handing over earth to the human species, us with the hobby of killing one another, most of the time, justifying it with God's name;
002:030
Just like "apostasy", how, by just being human are we able to foretell the future or read what is in a person's heart and mind, whether he is going to repent, change or stay the same? How can humans be the judge when they are unable to prophesize? It is only God who have this capability,
[50:16]
and that is why He be the best of judge, not humans with our megalomaniac tendencies, not even the exalted messengers of God.
[10:108]
And again in;
[6:57]
[13:40]
Now you get why the "there is no compulsion in Islam" (2:256) bit?
So where did this idea of judging and punishing comes from? Who woke up one morning and decided that it is justified to use Allah's name to go do His job for him? Maybe this was the genius who seriously thought that "An idle mind is a devil's workshop" would work on God. The time spent on creating excuses to judge, punish perhaps is best utilized on research and development for the betterment of humankind not ass-a-hole, but as a whole.
Humans can only but remind each other of love and goodness, with the guidance of God. We should stop creating self importance for we are just specks of nothingness in this vast universe. Leave the judging and punishing of something of this complexity, to the All Knowing. Even the prophets were told of this;
Yes, as humans including Muslims, we have a responsibility of keeping each other in check so that the world will be a much more better place to live in, since everyone belongs to someone else's hell someway or another, at least make the life on earth heavenly no?
3:104
[3:110]
But keeping in check does not mean abusing authority, because authority means responsibility, not causing others calamity
[87:8]
[87:9]
Admonition = Gentle or friendly reproof. Which part of the word "gentle" and "friendly" that we do not comprehend?
As you can see, there are many verses prohibiting homosexuality, but what people chose to ignore is the fact that there is none on punishing them. Forbidding does not constitute punishing. We cannot punish a diabetic or schizophrenic for being diabetic or schizophrenic, any more than we can, the homosexuals. They need treatment, guidance and empathy, more than they do sympathy, despondency and brutality or even tea from society.
There are too many Quranic verses that condemns homosexuality .
[7:80]
(27: 54-58)
"Of all the creatures in the world will ye approach males". "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" - Holy Quran
(11: 77-83)
'When our messengers came to Lot, he was grieved on their account and felt himself powerless to protect them. He said: 'This is a distressful day.' His people came rushing towards him and they had been long in the habit of practicing abominations. He said: 'O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if you marry). Now fear God and cover me not with disgrace about my guests! Is there not among you a single tight-minded man?' They, however said: 'You know very well we have no need of your daughters. Indeed you know quite well what we want'. He said: 'Would that I had power to suppress you or that I could betake myself to some powerful support'. (The angels) said: 'O Lot! We are messengers from your Lord! By no means shall they reach you. Now travel with your family while yet a part of the night remains, and let not any of you look back; but your wife, to her will happen what will befall them. Morning is their appointed time. Is not the morning near'. When Our decree issued we turned the cities upside down, and rained down on them brim stones hard as baked clay, spread layer on layer, marked from your Lord. Nor are they ever far from those who do wrong."
(More in ,15: 61-75, 21: 74-75, ,29: 28-35, 37:133-138, 54: 33-39 ,66: 10)
Yet, by far there are no verses that command the humans to take matters into our own hands ( the auta-rities recognize this but in practice, only the taking matters in our own hands in a form of masturbation is prohibited).
I suppose this is the root of the problem when homosexuality is concern. Humans are fond of playing God. We create self importance in conducting God's punishment, without His permission, on His behalf, using His name to justify them. Anyone disagree, will be branded with some name, like "infidel", "blasphemous", "apostasy" dan kawasan kawasan yang sewaktu dengannya. The same way we find reasons to justify stoning adulterers to death, or flogging public display of alcohol consumption, or even jailing polygamists (trust me, I wouldn't mind that , but alas, it's not God's teachings) ,which ironically, was never mentioned in the Quran. Now isn't THAT blasphemous?
[3:78]
I'm sure there are "other sources" despite God saying;
18:54
Like Astro, apart from the Quranic source, "macam macam adaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"...
Have religion become that shallow? Have we lost the ability to see that whilst homosexuality is transgression in the eyes of god, the unwarranted killings, torture and injustice inflicted unto them is a bigger transgression? Which is worst? Homosexuality y of the killing / torture of another human being? If we commit injustice, what kind of a nation does that make us? A better nation? How is it that a nation who find not the value in a living being be better?
So let me break it down to you what is the problem with humans. Humans expects more terror out of God. More unforgiving like the gods of the Pagans. (obviously we have not yet been enlightened the way we would like to proclaim). We are impatient with God who are patient with transgressors, and we need him to act NOW while we're still alive to witness it otherwise we are compelled to have the need to act on His behalf. (How do one explain the amount of reality TV shows we have at our disposal...we are action junkies. Even the Imams have their reality TV shows now ...Imam Muda ...wonder if they've done any task on polishing the mosque microphones or the mohor besar raja raja....). But this God is patient, and gives time for repent...
But religion is not about compulsion. Part of the beauty of religion is to be given the gift of "choice" and the room to make mistakes should the choice taken is the wrong one, and to learn from them as after all, to human is to err. Otherwise words such as "repent" and "forgiveness" will not exist in the dictionary or even in our scriptures.
And why are we so hooked up on sex matters anyway? There are other transgressions of worst implications such as corruption in behaviour in society that is left untouched of which the religious authorities are practicing reticence? Which transgression causes more detriment to society? Non Halal Sex or saaaay money corruption that bankrupts the nation from top to bottom, (and I don't mean "bottom" in the sexual sense of it)?
Where is the fatwa on corruption? Dum dee dum dee dum...still waiting for fartwa on political corruption...oops..I mean money politics....the latter is apparently legal...
Well, here's one from the Quran;
Oh, here's another;
[ 5:63] Why do not the rabbis and the priests forbid their evil-speaking and their devouring of illicit gain? Verily evil is their handiwork.
Ouch !!! I guess it's harder to go after the politicians bottom then the bottom of commoners without getting their comfortable bottoms C4-ed eh? No jihad here meh?
Actually, I'm still waiting for a fartwa that bans pidets....wonder if using high jet pidets is termed as consensual sodomy , circumstancial, or incidental sodomy. As for the homos, homophobics, and homophobia phobics, here is a take home message:
Oh darn...I just remembered. We don't have psychiatric expertise to treat homosexuals, because we were busy devising ways to kill, torture and discard them . It is not fair to punish someone for a disease, the sane did not work on to cure......
So....what now?
Oh, btw, the rabbit hole ends here.
...Click here to find out how deep the rabbit hole goes.....

In medical point of view ;
"Neurosis is a class of functional mental disorders involving distress but neither delusions nor hallucinations, whereby behavior is not outside socially acceptable norm. The term essentially describes an "invisible injury" ". Descriptively, neurosis meant that someone was anxious and depressed but not psychotic.
[4:79] Whatever good, (O man!) happens to thee, is from Allah; but whatever evil happens to thee, is from thy (own) soul. and We have sent thee as a messenger to (instruct) mankind. And enough is Allah for a witness.
[ 5:94]
O ye who believe! Allah doth but make a trial of you in a little matter of game well within reach of game well within reach of your hands and your lances, that He may test who feareth him unseen: any who transgress thereafter, will have a grievous penalty.
And the good news is, He tests within our capabilities;
[7:42]
But those who believe and work righteousness,- no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear,- they will be Companions of the Garden, therein to dwell (for ever).
7: 80-84
We also (sent) Lut: He said to his people: "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?. "For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women : ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds." And his people gave no answer but this: they said, "Drive them out of your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!". But we saved him and his family, except his wife: she was of those who legged behind. And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): Then see what was the end of those who indulged in sin and crime!
[8:33]
But Allah was not going to send them a penalty whilst thou wast amongst them; nor was He going to send it whilst they could ask for pardon.
And betterment obviously does not constitute killing, torturing and practicing injustice;
[16:90]
Allah commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition.
Sometimes I wonder why God even bothered creating humans. Even the angels were and still probably are baffled with the choice of handing over earth to the human species, us with the hobby of killing one another, most of the time, justifying it with God's name;
002:030
And when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to place a viceroy in the earth, they said: Wilt thou place therein one who will do harm therein and will shed blood, while we, we hymn Thy praise and sanctify Thee? He said: Surely I know that which ye know not.
Just like "apostasy", how, by just being human are we able to foretell the future or read what is in a person's heart and mind, whether he is going to repent, change or stay the same? How can humans be the judge when they are unable to prophesize? It is only God who have this capability,
[50:16]
It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein
and that is why He be the best of judge, not humans with our megalomaniac tendencies, not even the exalted messengers of God.
[10:108]
Say: O mankind! Now hath the Truth from your Lord come unto you. So whosoever is guided, is guided only for (the good of) his soul, and whosoever erreth erreth only against it. And I am not a warder over you.
[10:109] And (O Muhammad) follow that which is inspired in thee, and forbear until Allah give judgment. And He is the Best of Judges.
And again in;
[6:57]
Say: I am (relying) on clear proof from my Lord, while ye deny Him. I have not that for which ye are impatient. The decision is for Allah only. He telleth the truth and He is the Best of Deciders.
[13:40]
Whether We let thee see something of that which We have promised them, or make thee die (before its happening), thine is but conveyance (of the message). Ours the reckoning.
Humans can only but remind each other of love and goodness, with the guidance of God. We should stop creating self importance for we are just specks of nothingness in this vast universe. Leave the judging and punishing of something of this complexity, to the All Knowing. Even the prophets were told of this;
[6:66] But thy people reject this, though it is the truth. Say: "Not mine is the responsibility for arranging your affairs;
[6:67] For every message is a limit of time, and soon shall ye know it."
[6:68] When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong.
[6:69] On their account no responsibility falls on the righteous, but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may (learn to) fear Allah.
[6:70] Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah: if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting Allah.
Yes, as humans including Muslims, we have a responsibility of keeping each other in check so that the world will be a much more better place to live in, since everyone belongs to someone else's hell someway or another, at least make the life on earth heavenly no?
3:104
Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong; they are the ones to attain felicity.
[3:110]
Ye are the best community that hath been raised up for mankind. Ye enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency; and ye believe in Allah. And if the People of the Scripture had believed it had been better for them. Some of them are believers; but most of them are evil-livers.
But keeping in check does not mean abusing authority, because authority means responsibility, not causing others calamity
[87:8]
And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path)
[87:9]
Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).
[7:80]
We also (sent) Lut: He said to his people: "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?
[ 7:81] "For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women : ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds."
(27: 54-58)
'And Lot who said to his people: 'Do you do what is indecent though you see its iniquity? Would you really approach men in your lusts rather than women? You are a people grossly ignorant.' His people gave no answer but this: 'Drive out the followers of Lot from our city. They are indeed men who want to be clean and pure.' But we saved him and his family except his wife: We destined her to be of those who lagged behind. And We raked down on them a shower: and evil was the shower on those who were admonished.'
26:165-166"Of all the creatures in the world will ye approach males".
[3:78]
And lo! there is a party of them who distort the Scripture with their tongues, that ye may think that what they say is from the Scripture, when it is not from the Scripture. And they say: It is from Allah, when it is not from Allah; and they speak a lie concerning Allah knowingly
Another reason is that we have lost the ability to disagree with a person’s behavior (public or private), while respecting that person as an individual.
Another reason is that we have lost the ability to disagree with a person’s behavior (public or private), while respecting that person as an individual.
I'm sure there are "other sources" despite God saying;
18:54
We have explained in detail in this Qur'an for the benefit of mankind every kind of similitude: but man is in most things contentious.
Like Astro, apart from the Quranic source, "macam macam adaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"...
[68:36] What is the matter with you? How judge ye?
[68:37] Or have ye a book through which ye learn
Have religion become that shallow? Have we lost the ability to see that whilst homosexuality is transgression in the eyes of god, the unwarranted killings, torture and injustice inflicted unto them is a bigger transgression? Which is worst? Homosexuality y of the killing / torture of another human being? If we commit injustice, what kind of a nation does that make us? A better nation? How is it that a nation who find not the value in a living being be better?
[ 4:29] O ye who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves in vanities: But let there be amongst you Traffic and trade by mutual good-will: Nor kill (or destroy) yourselves: for verily Allah hath been to you Most Merciful!
[13:32] Mocked were (many) messengers before thee: but I granted respite to the unbelievers, and finally I punished them: Then how (terrible) was my requital!
[5:74] Why turn they not to Allah, and seek His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
Well, here's one from the Quran;
[2:188] And do not eat up your property among yourselves for vanities, nor use it as bait for the judges, with intent that ye may eat up wrongfully and knowingly a little of (other) people's property.
Oh, here's another;
[ 5:62] And thou seest many of them vying one with another in sin and transgression and their devouring of illicit gain. Verily evil is what they do.
