One-"Allah".......no?

The whole of Malaysia have been talking about the victory of Herald Tribune in the case of using “Allah” in their article. That’s right, everybody’s talking about it, until something as equally or more irritating such as "CIA using their so called supercanggih technology to aid climate change detection" (yes, CIA; the same jokers who boast high and mighty technology, and yet, are unable to use the supercanggih technology to locate Osama bin Ladin...) comes along to divert our attention.

That is how, quietly, topics like "Who demolecularized Altantuya...I mean, really" or "Mystery of the Disappearing Engines", "Rafidah and the AP" , "Mystery: will Rosmah be the next Monalisa piece when painted" (except we already know why she's not able to lift her lips to give a full smile because her whole face have already been lifted, nothing mysterious about that), and many more Malaysian Mysteries like "Samy Vellu", and we have a new comer, "Nazri" (why can't he just shut up?) that gets buried into Malaysia's own X-Files.....

Despite the Ministry of whhhhateverrrrrrr's urge to bloggers and webmasters to "stop fanning flames", never mind, who the fire starter was (HaaatttttccccccHome ministrychooooo!!! Allah bless me, thank you...oh yeaaaaa ....Now the Christians can say "Allah Bless You"...says the court...oh but wait..Judge Datuk Lau Bee Lian had ruled that usage of the word was constitutional as long as the periodical was confined to educating the followers of the Christian faith., okay, I'll stick to "God bless me" for now), I'll blog anyway, even if it means I'm "fanning the flames" because, if bloggers were to listen to the authorities in the first place, it would beat the purpose of blogging right?

If it is not for blogs and websites, and if we were to rely on mainstream media, I'm sure Siong Tet would not be able to tell us that Sarawakian Christians have been using the word "Allah" even from before Malaysia was formed and Dr Lim Teck Ghee's (the director of the Centre for Policy Initiatives) article may not even be published on mainstream media.

I don’t believe in a New Year’s Resolutions, but in keeping with the society’s spirit of New Year, I guess I’d use this opportunity to do away with expletives that naturally comes to mind when reading about these types of issues. To me, if anything, this is more of a political issue, rather than a religious one. To me, it’s like the Auta…I mean authorities acting like dogs pissing on trees…basically an act of marking of territories….when one has the power, not to mention the resources to pee a lot, why not eh?

The Muslims have forgotten to whom Allah had revealed His Deen which was through His Books of Revelation.

[2:41] And believe in that which I reveal, confirming that which ye possess already (of the Scripture), and be not first to disbelieve therein, and part not with My revelations for a trifling price, and keep your duty unto Me.

They are dedicated to mankind, not for just Christians, Muslims, UMNO, PAS (kecewa atau tak kecewa, nasib lar), dan kawasan kawasan yang sewaktu dengannya.

2:213
"Mankind was one single nation, and God sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; but the People of the Book, after the clear Signs came to them, did not differ among themselves, except through selfish contumacy. God by His Grace Guided the believers to the Truth, concerning that wherein they differed. For God guided whom He will to a path that is straight."

The word “Allah” had been used by certain bibles since the 19th century, and in the book of Shri Guru Grant Sahib, the Sikh’s would probably be laughing at the Muslims for our ignorance right now. What is there to be surprised about? There is one God, therefore His book comes from ONE source - Him. Why should he not avow His name in them? Obviously He wanted mankind to refer Him as Allah, amongst many other names... Dr Asri agreed with me on this matter ;-D, and here's a mind opening article from Anas.

[2:151] "Even as We have sent unto you a messenger from among you, who reciteth unto you Our revelations and causeth you to grow, and teacheth you the Scripture and wisdom, and teacheth you that which ye knew not."

Unfortunately, the thing that grew in the majority was the air volume in the brains, not the grey matter content. Problem is, we, the Muslims are arrogant to think that we have the power of possession of God’s name, perhaps because we cannot hear God tell us whether he minds it or not? But He did tell us, in the Quran. Islam has it’s roots all the way to Abraham and beyond. Book of revelation had been given in the form of Taurah, Zabur, Injil and the Quran.

[2:136] "Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered."

Naturally Allah would have referred Himself as "Allah" to them too, after all, it is one of His names.

17 :110: Say: “Call upon Allah, or Call upon Rahman; By whatever name ye call Upon Him, (it is well): For to Him belong The Most Beautiful Names...."

Not only are we the Muslims arrogant, most of us are ignorant in regards to our own religion and take for granted that Allah is only looking at our way, that it is just about us, no one else maters, and that only the Muslims will go to heaven. We take for granted that Allah had left us in charge of others. Well, even if He had, obviously this whole “Allah is only to be called by Muslims” fiasco is a show of power abuse.

(2:62)
“Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve”.

More as you enter the Rabbit Hole...

Islam authorities claims that the use of “Allah” in bible is to confuse the Muslims. Read what Marina has to say about being Confused-cious....Frankly, we don’t need the Christians to confuse us, as we’ve done a good job confusing ourselves when we adapt 4…or maybe 5 mazhabs to choose from. I mean, who’s to decide how many mazhabs should there be in the first place. Why not 6, 7,8 mazhabs and so forth. Being majority and getting to decide what is right and what is wrong based on hearsays does not mean that you are in the right. Just like science, religion is not about consensus. In fact it’s the opposite of consensus as evidenced by 6 : 116.

"Wert thou to follow the common run of those on earth, they will lead thee away from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture: they do nothing but lie."

Besides, God guides whom he wishes because only He knows who is good and who is bad. Humans get buggered by hypocrisy. If you have love in your heart for God and Mankind, it's a bit difficult to get "confused". Even if The Book of Revelation have "failed you", there's simple common sense. Atheists deciphers humanity probably more that those who have religion, and I find that rather ironic.

Rapera may either enlighten you, or confuse you even more, depending on what you've decided in your mind before reading THIS.

And what about the Christians, Sikhs, sentiments? Don't you think that it'll be even more confusing for them since "Allah" is primarily, in this country used by the majority Muslims?
If anything, it is them who should be more worried about getting their followers confused. Ever thought of it that way? No? Perhaps it's because we Muslims are too self centered and self indulgent? We think the whole world belongs to us and only us, and sometimes treat others like they are space occupying lesions. We treat Islam as though it belongs to the Muslims, who inherited religion, not by choice, but by chance. We treat Islam as though it belongs to us, not to mankind.

Furthermore, is it JUST, to prohibit mankind from calling Allah by His name, something not exclusive to the Muslims?

Surah An nahl surah 90

"Allah commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition."

I believe the term suitable for this is myopic. Instead of calling mankind towards embracing Islam by using beautiful words, we apply methods of imposing power in order to get the same task done. And yet we get overzealously angry when someone pointed out that Islam was spread via the tip of the sword.

Nahl: 125

"Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance."

Exactly what message is sent to mankind when we are hostile towards who gets to call God by one of His name, making it exclusively ours?

We were thrilled with One Jamban (well, not so thrilled about this One), One Malaysia, One Utama, so why not One-"Allah"? (one referring to sharing "Allah" as a name of The One God). Stop being One Kiiiinnnnnnd only lah.....Come on Malaysians, we can do better than this. Let's not let religion split us because all religion, at the core, tells us that we are one, ergo try to unite mankind, we do not need race based parties to tell us this (and do something else behind our backs). Our methods may differ, but we pray to the same God, One Allah.

you correctly pointed out that

"To me, if anything, this is more of a political issue, rather than a religious one. To me, it’s like the Auta…I mean authorities acting like dogs pissing on trees…basically an act of marking of territories….when one has the power, not to mention the resources to pee a lot, why not eh?

It has got very little to do with religion.

I have a theory that God's real name may be Ah Chong, Samy or Bob or Sharifah - something mundane.

True, so very true, "We treat Islam as though it belongs to the Muslims, who inherited religion, not by choice, but by chance. We treat Islam as though it belongs to us, not to mankind"

We still have...amongst us so-called self-righteous Muslims who give this appalling comment upon seeing a 'nice' non-Muslim : "Such a nice/kind person. If only he/she is a Muslim. What a pity"

Read: Only Muslims' goodwill will be accepted by God .....err...I mean Allah unless the person converts and becomes 'saudara baru'. And one more thing, extra credits would also be given to the Muslim who assists in the conversion. Extra points in the report book.
One Msia but One Utama? Lol!

Planet of the Monyets, apart from telling us all the beautiful names belong to him, I guess He don't really care for names....

Anon, I like what you said,"only Muslim's goodwill will be accepted by god" ...and we have to bear in mind that embracing "Islam", which carries the meaning of "submission to god and god alone", doesn't mean that you have to be Muslims only. There are others out there who are not Muslims, yet submit to God beautifully, believe in the Hereafter and live righteously. THAT is the goodwill of "Islam". It's just a term. We should concentrate on the deed and action more than we do the term.

Alycia, why are you sweating dear? Maybe you should get your thyroid function checked. Sorry, I only speak BM, English, Urdhu and a little bit of Na'vi....cheers :)
