Stand Up Comedies on a slow lazy sunday......

I love stand up comedies. Then again, who doesn't. I think, the only place where humor is dead, is in Islam. Well, can't blame us Muslims, we need our heads intact to laugh and Salman Rushdie amongst many may be able to testify for that, there is no room for imagination and sense of humor when it comes to Islam. The autarities make sure of that. "What?!! Are you laughing at God? Off with your heads you blasphemous infidels!!! It's not okay to joke about religion...don't you know that!! Just insult the religion by making it look stupid with our daily practices.....anything but making verbal jokes!! It's inappropriate and defaming Islam!!". It reminds me of the people who live for others. It's okay to make mistakes but do not leak this out to others so as to save face. It's all about the image...never mind with the sincerity in living...the hell with that. Okay, I'll shut up now..

Funny though, I love my parents very very much, and I respect them a great deal. Occasionally, I make jokes and tease them and it's nice to know that you can do that with the people you love, because they won't mind it. Same thing with God. I think if a person feels like he/she is close to God, sometimes it's okay, but within limits, to make jokes about Him knowing that just like our parents who loves us, He won't mind. I bet He's laughing at us right now from somewhere out there....

Below, I've posted 3 stand up comedies for you to enjoy on this wonderful Sunday morning. If you're into science, then you may enjoy Brian Malow, a scientist turn comedian. I guess the US is producing too many scientists nowadays that some may have to look for other jobs due to the saturation in that profession. I don't think in Malaysia we can afford to have a scientist to turn away from his/her work, because we are so lacking with scientists. There's so much work to do and judging from the experiment that consisted of blowing bubbles in space as performed by the ass-or-not we shot to auta space recently, seriously, we've got a loooooooooong way to catch up with science.

And by the way, that blowing bubbles experiment is partly the reason why the autarities have decided that Science should be taught in BM rather than in English, because, really, think about it..... the word "blow job" is inappropriate compared to the eloquent word of "tiup buih" ....this is science we're talking about people, not porn..have a little respect for science..
